Changing delivery address is only available after your delivery has failed at least once.
Parcelforce offers various options to ensure you receive your parcel as quickly and conveniently as possible. If you missed a delivery attempt and wish to change your delivery address, this guide will walk you through the process. Please note that address changes are only allowed after one failed delivery attempt.
Step 1: Check the ‘We Called to Deliver/Collect Your Parcel’ card When the driver attempts delivery and is unable to deliver the parcel securely, they will leave a card that contains information about the status of your parcel. It will inform you if:
- The parcel will be delivered again tomorrow
- The parcel has been left with a neighbor
- The parcel has been taken to your local Post Office branch
- The parcel has been returned to the depot
Step 2: Determine the parcel’s location After the first delivery attempt, depending on the parcel’s location, follow these steps to change the delivery address:
a) If your parcel is at the Post Office:
- Call 03448 00 44 66 to arrange redelivery to a different address. A £5.50 charge applies, and redelivery can take up to 3 days.
b) If your parcel is at a depot:
- Visit the receiving a parcel page and select the “new address” option or call 03448 00 44 66. A £5.50 charge applies, and the depot will contact you to arrange payment before the parcel is delivered.
Step 3: Additional options
- For Saturday delivery, visit the receiving a parcel page and request the service. A £12.00 charge applies, and your local depot will contact you to arrange payment before the parcel is delivered.
- To collect your parcel from a depot, visit the depot locator for address, directions, and opening times. Your parcel will be ready for collection from the next working day.
Step 4: Redelivery to a local Post Office If you prefer redelivery to a local Post Office after the first delivery attempt, follow these steps:
- Visit the receiving a parcel page and select the “from local Post Office” option, or call 03448 00 44 66. A £1 charge applies, which must be paid upon collection. Note that if your parcel exceeds the Post Office’s weight and size restrictions, delivery to a Post Office will not be possible.
