Experiencing a rejected transaction can be frustrating, but don’t worry, there are steps you can take to resolve this issue. Here’s what you need to do:
1. Check Your Revolut App
The first thing you should do is check your Revolut app. There could be several reasons why your transaction was declined. It could be due to a security system decline, a connection issue, insufficient funds, or your card was not activated.
2. Unfreeze Your Card
If your card was frozen by Revolut’s security system or by you, any payment with Apple/Google Pay will be declined, and the card will appear as suspended in Apple/Google Pay. Once you unfreeze the card, it’ll become active again.
3. Check Your Funds
Ensure you have sufficient funds in your account for the transaction. If there are insufficient funds, you will need to add money to your account.
4. Check Your Card Activation Status
If your card was not activated, you will need to activate your card by making a purchase using your PIN.
5. Check Your Card Settings
Check the card settings in the ‘Cards’ tab > ‘Settings’ > Location-based security > switch it off if needed.
6. Check Your PIN
If the transaction was declined due to an incorrect PIN, you can check your PIN in the app in ‘Cards’ > Settings > View PIN/CVV.
7. Contact Revolut Support
If you’re unable to resolve the issue through the app, you should contact Revolut’s customer support. You can do this through the in-app chat feature or by emailing them at support@revolut.com.
Remember, it’s crucial to act quickly when you realize your transaction has been rejected to prevent any potential issues. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out to Revolut’s customer support for assistance.
